This live steam-powered traction engine, painted in red and blue tones, is based on those found on the roads at the height of the steam era. This is based on a general purpose traction engine which would’ve been involved with forestry, haulage and agriculture during the late 19th/early 20th century.
This can be either moved or used stationary. It can move forward and backward, with a flywheel that can be started in both rotational directions. The boiler has a diameter of 45 mm and a length of 185 mm, capable of holding 230 cm³. The brass boiler has been polished and nickel-plated to a high gloss. The accompanying water level gauge is designed as a show glass and invites you to take a closer look at the process in the steam engine. The tractor has chain steering and a transmission clutch. The detachable geared transmission allows the mobile steam engine to be used as a stationary one as well. The run time is approximately 15 minutes with a full load of our dry fuel, Witabs.
With this kit, you will experience first-hand how steam engines are constructed and work step by step to combine all the individual parts. The kit can also be assembled by inexperienced steam engine enthusiasts, thanks to the detailed, richly illustrated assembly manual. The approximate time required to assemble the steam engine is three to four hours. All individual parts of the steam tractor have been subjected to a careful quality control before leaving the steam engine factory.
This steam engine is delivered in kit form with full instructions to assemble it into a working live steam engine!
